we'll thats a result.....i had the wrong url in the publish setting and the redirect on the sub domain of 'blog.kking.co.uk' wouldn't let me link through to blog.kking.co.uk/images/newphoto.jpg wouldn't work were a www.kking.co.uk/blog/newphoto.jpg did work.
